Our swimwear are perfect for all water sports, even the most extreme. Its technical characteristics surpass the expectations of most demanding athletes. It is chlorine proof, it has total UV ray protection, it has excellent breathability, it is fast drying, it is soft and pleasant on the skin but for the most art it is exceptionally durable. Islanders Wear was founded in 2007 by Lucie Le Blanc. Lucie was born and raised in Quebec, Canada, Lucie always dreamed of palm trees, white sandy beaches, and summer all year around. At a very young age, she knew that one day, she would move away from the cold Canadian winter toa tropical Island. So, in 1985, with $500.00 in her wallet and very little knowledge of the English language, she packed up her bags and moved to Southern California . In 1997, with her husband aand 3 children, she settled in Alameda, California. Not quit a “ Tropical Island” but she had found a great Island to raise her family. Alameda is a small & quaint Island located in the San Francisco Bay area, where the sun shines and the wind blows most of the time. Here, kids and grown ups spend most of their time outside; at the beach, at the pool, on the estuary, or on the bay. So, in order to avoid them to leave the Island and to site in the traffic, Lucie decided to create I.W garments to allow “The Alamedians” more time to play comfortably and well protected!
